Around an hours drive south west of Portland, OR is McMinnville, home to the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. It’s not the sort of place that you just come across, but more the kind that you find when you are looking for something else. In this case I was looking for the locations of Lockheed SR-71 Blackbirds, and not only found one of those, but also Howard Hughes’s “Spruce Goose“.
